Athlete of the Month: Andrew DePhillips

Birthday: 9/28/1980 (don’t let the gray hair fool you – I’m not that old…)

How did you hear about CrossFit? I have several cousins (Tony Ranallo, Jessica DePhillips, Jennifer & Jeff Seese) that were all apart of the 515 community and would always talk about it at family functions so I figured I should give it a shot!   The idea of getting a great all around workout while in a timed / competition style workout sounded fun and something I should try!

How has CrossFit changed your life? The people more than anything at 515 and the friendships I have created along my Crossfit journey have been nothing short of amazing.  The memories with the athletes and coaches and the milestones in my health and fitness have all been a huge part of my life and have forever changed me.

Favorite & least favorite movement: Easy – let’s start with least – squat snatch and anything to do with the assault bike…..  The favorite is butterfly pull-ups!
