This year CrossFit 515 will be sponsoring a family in Des Moines thru the Adopt-A-Family program. We will be collecting gifts and money donations to provide presents and a holiday meal to help this family in need to have a special Christmas. Please read the instructions below if you are interested in participating in this great cause. Any questions can be directed to Jaime (email@example.com). These are the ways you can choose to help:
* Buy a gift:
-There will be a Christmas tree by the front desk at the gym with paper ornaments on it. Each ornament has a gift idea on it (listed will be a specific member of the family, their age, size, and gift requested).
-Take the ornament from the tree and go shopping for the gift. Please only new gifts (no hand-me-downs), the idea is for them to get new things to be extra special.
-Wrap the gift and tape the paper ornament to the outside (this way we will know what gifts have been taken care of).
-If possible, please include a gift receipt in the package.
-Return the wrapped present under the tree to be delivered to the family.
-Note: The gift ideas will range in price, so take a look at what you are grabbing. Also, feel free to pair up with someone else on a more expensive gift if you'd like.
* Donate money:
-There will also be an envelope next to the tree on the front desk for donations. If you are interested in donating but do not wish to buy a gift, or would like to donate money in addition to a gift, feel free to make a cash donation and leave it in the envelope.
-A few days before the gifts are delivered we will shop for the remaining items with this money. We will also be providing a holiday meal, so some of the money will go to buying the food.
-Checks can be made out to CrossFit 515 (please write “adopt-a-family” in the memo).
**We are delivering everything to the family on December 10th, so please have all donations (presents and money) in by DECEMBER 8th.
Thank you for considering to help. CrossFit 515 is a great community of generous people and together we will do a lot to help make this an extraordinary Christmas for someone else.
