    Mystery wod: 6. It is going to hurt for me to laugh today.

    5×3 clean & jerk 125, 130, 135, 140, 145 (2) missed the clean on 3, tried again 145 (2) got the clean, missed the jerk this time!

    5×3 clean and jerk (dropped the bar and reset as soon as the weight settled)
    135-165-185-185-195(2) – Missed the last jerk of the workout…and I shouldnt have. Frustrating!

    Tabata T2B – 7 – Gamed this far too much. Gotta redo this and go for 8 or 9.

        Ah, you’re probably right, I just gotta get past some of these mental hurdles in my head…although learning to do that split stance will help quite a bit. It was new today for me.

    CNJ 5×3: 115#: 85-95-105-115-125(1,then fail on clean)-125 (1,fail on jerk). My goal for today was to get 125, which may have been a little lofty… three times is WAY harder than I expected!

    Tabata T2B: 4. Had five until round 7, GRIP! Not efficient at these AT ALL, just could not find any RHYTHM. For all the swinging around I was doing, it would be nice to have more reps to show for it. They are FUN, though 🙂

    C&J: 110 x 3. Old PR was 105. Failed on 115 a few times. I can clean it and close to the jerk… think I can do it;)

    TTB: 4. Goal 5. In March I did 3 and my total reps went up. So, I’ll take it. These are always monsters!

      Round 2 tonight:
      Mini Flight simulator (consecutive du’s) 5-10-15-20-25-30-25-20-15-10-5. Took me 10:03, SIX minute PR from June:)

      And maybe even a bigger smiley face for Taylor, who taught me how to do pistol squats tonight:) 🙂 🙂

    Deadlift 300# (pre-Landon PR is 305#, did 275# last night)

    Tabata TTB – 8
    Started with 11 but after four rounds that fell apart fast.

    Got up to 205 for 3 reps and failed twice after 1 successful rep of 215. I did not touch and go. I dropped it.

    175# C&J. Got 185# 2x and couldn’t get 3rd rep.
    hands beat up from Sunday WOD so did GHB instead of TTB. 6 was the low score.

    boo on clean and jerks because I can’t jerk 🙁 I got to 120 once and FAILED after that. good thing is my one rep max is 120lbs…ha ha. no PR but no going backwards.

    August goal: to PR on Grace (jerk) and kipping handstand pushup.

    Clean and Jerks up to 215, got it twice, missed the third. Gamed the TTB and got 8.

    Hope to see some of you tomorrow at Cabaret West Glen, 5-8pm. All donations going to fallen soldier Sgt. Skalberg’s 1 year old son’s college fund.
