This is where we will be staying…obviously anyone is welcome to stay where they choose. This place has 1 or 2 bedroom suites with kitchens. The normal rate for 2 bedrooms is 184/night and AAA rate 142/night. Also, there is no penalty to cancel a reservation up until the day before. It’s pretty reasonably priced for a Chicago hotel, especially if people are interested in sharing suites. My mom and I can also book 3 other rooms (I think) on our AAA memberships, so talk to me if anyone is interested and we could book the room for you to get the discount…obviously first come, first serve.
Also, congratulations CrossFit 515!! We had a fabulous showing during the Open, in both results AND sportsmanship. Bobby and I are so proud of everyone that participated in the workouts over the past 5 weeks. Finally, here’s who qualified to the next level:
*Bobby – 12th place in North Central Region
*Bart – 25th place in North Central Region
*Jaime – 7th place in North Central Region
*Team 515 – 6th place in North Central Region (it’s looking like it will most likely be made up of Bart, Billy, Lance, Tara, Mindy & Michelle, with Ben & Meghan as alternates…congrats you guys!)
*Shelley – 3rd place in the WORLD for 55-59 yr old (and already qualified to defend her title at the Games in July!)
I think it’s also worth mentioning that we had a 7 month pregnant chick finish 218th in the North Central Region as well 🙂 …anyone who hasn’t read Lindsay’s blog about crossfitting and competing in the Open while pregnant should check it out:
