Yesterday: “Annie” with GHD situps – 12:03 (2:24 PR)
Today:
Snatch Balance: 105-115-125-135-145(f)-145(f)-145 (10# PR)
Black WOD as R’xd- 5:16 (2:38 PR)
…GREAT couple days 🙂
Congratulations Z & Justin!!!! Love you both. Have fun and represent us well out in Cali.
Yesterday: “Annie” with GHD Sit Ups – 6:52 (8 seconds of my PR, but under the circumstances I felt it went extremely well haha)
Today:
Snatch Balance: 185-195-205-225(f)-215(f)-215(PR)-225(f), Eric you are beast and I’m already excited/scared how good you are gonna get at CrossFit very shortly!!
Black WOD as Rx’d – 2:57 (1:13 PR), missed my Squat Snatch at the start of round 3 and had to compose myself, probably cost me 10-15 seconds ahhhh 🙁 I want Spealler so bad in this workout
Felt pretty awesome working out today, my guess is that it had something to do with the pound of frozen yogurt I ate yesterday, is that allowed in the new diet Lance?
Congrats sister and “bro”! Please do not SUCK out in California 🙂
Hahaha, it had to have been the frozen yogurt and even if not, it was SO good 🙂 Impressive today…u will get Spealler next time for sure!
And I agree, Eric – craziness!!
Definitely the yogurt:)
Today’s Snatch Balance: 115-135-155-175(f)-175(f)-175(f)-175(f)
Seems to me that here is a huge difference in skill between just doing a behind the neck jerk and receiving the bar with knees slightly bent and completing the OHS; versus actually receiving the bar in the true Snatch position at the bottom of the squat…I attempted the latter with minimal success.
That’s my excuse for the day!
then Black WOD as Rx’d – 3 rounds OHS 135# + 50 DU’s – 7:31
Snatch Balance – 65,75,85,95,95,105,115(f)
never been able to do snatch balance before and considering my prev max OHS was 95#, this was a good day.
WOD – not Rx’d – used 75# for the OHS
10:18
Also ran a 5K early this morning prior to the other workouts
Rode the bike to and from CF515 today. Got to 95# on the snatch balance, but none of them were any good. There was a fear factor for some reason.
9:26 in OHS (65#) and DUs. I felt good on the DUs. BobnJenning’s 27 consecutive is coming down.
Then cut down and chopped up a dead maple tree with an assist from Jenning’s and his chainsaw. Thanks Bob.
I get the same fear factor…the fear that my right knee is going to explode if I drop down too fast with too much weight. I’m getting a little better, but Snatching has been the toughest thing for me to get used to so far.
I didn’t have a fear factor until the bar landed on my head! I’ll have to talk myself up for this one next time!
I suck at Snatch and Snatch Balance – 95,95,95,115,115,125f,125
I also did the OHS and DU WOD – I don’t remember the exact time…4:39 I think? And yes, that was with the girl weight. Ash says it’s only fitting since I have a little girly wasteline and hips…I swear it was an accident Bobby, I wasn’t trying to take it easy!
Billy:
Careful about making fun of the girl’s weights. Little did I know almost 33 years ago, that I was marrying a girl that was going to KMA in the gym.
I guess the rest of my family obviously survived the wedding festivities better than I did. I had absolutely no energy this morning or coordination so DU’s were a real struggle. Now that I have my excuses all laid out……
Today’s WOD (75 lbs): 12:22
Sure looking forward to more of the wedding/Crossfit photos!
Went be before lunch with Bobby as did “Murph” as R’xd – 46:30
Bad parts:
1) Went slower than my last time by about 6:00
2) It pisses me off cause I’m 99% sure I didn’t do full range of motion pushups last time and therefore can’t really compare my time 🙁 (what an amateur cheater I was)
3) It is SO freakin HOT and HUMID!!
Good parts…these were harder to come up with, but it’s good to be positive if you’re gonna complain, right 😉
1) Ran the 1st mile in 5:57- my 3rd consecutive sub-6:00 mile = not a fluke!!
2) I actually did this WOD R’xd for probably the first time (200 pushups and my chest hit the ground on every one!)
3) I didn’t die.
Nice work Jaime! I caught the tail end of this but it looked miserable.
Yah, you did Murph on a hot day. Impressive!
Dynamic Effort Bench – 10 sets x 3 reps
Regionals WOD #4 – 26:44
Now this one sucked! I was sweating so bad that I could barely grip the bar on OHS’s and the paste on the bar from the mixture of chalk and sweat was not helping. I would like to give this one another go when it’s not so hot. I think I could shave a good 3 minutes off.
Didn’t go to San Fran CF because it was like 45 min north of our hotel and we are heading south today, but we had an awesome park and soccer field with a trail right outside our hotel so we made up our own wod:
4 rounds
464m run
Walking lunges width of the soccer field
20 push ups
30 bench jumps
(then Justin added 10 more push ups each round so our times would be closer but he still kicked my butt)
Justin – 17:55
Lindsay – 19:52
Headed down the coast now. Thanks for all the congrats! It was a perfect day and weekend.
Who is this Lindsay Vaught person? …pretty bold to be crashing the 515 board! 🙂
75, 85, 99, 105, 110, 110, 115 (F) – word of advice – don’t drop #115 on your head – it doesn’t feel too good! 🙂
Snatch balance:
185, 205, 215, 225, 235f, 235f, 235
OHS/DU WOD:
4:36
Correction: 3:46
Double Header today after 2 days off in a row this weekend 🙂
6:30a – Snatch Ballance – 65, 75, 85, 95, 105, 125 (f), 125 (f)
Todays WOD with RX weight / 150 singles – 7:13
Noon – 2 Minute Challenge – CTB PU – 31 reps
1k Row for time – 3:59 (PR by 16 sec)
100 Ring Push-Ups 4 time – 6:26 (I should have just asked someone to kick me in the package….I would have felt the same and it would have saved time 🙁
You let me know next time you need a package kicking, buddy. I’ve got your back.
7×1 power clean – 165, 175, 185, 195, 205, 215, 225(f) pf by 30lbs
OHS and DU’s
7:15
Not rx’d though. I did 115# on the OHS. Still getting better.
Power clean looked awesome.
