Monkey: Abu! (Carolyn)
The evil dude was named Jaffar – That is worth at least 9 points.
Carolyn is Cool!
False
Isn’t the Genie’s name “Genie”?????
that is what I would name my Genie
Kam is Cool! Not as Cool as Carolyn, but still Cool!
Does Carolyn still get all the Cool Points even though she’s too cool to post her own answer 😉
The council is still debating……..
I am not too cool to post! I was sitting next to Kamron and I guessed the monkey’s name first so he just noted that it was from me!
Navy WOD (2/3 black, 1/3 blue). 29:30
Deadlift 175, push ups, Clean 85
Good luck on your test, Bobby!! I’m done with tests FOREVER … jealous?
Congratulations, Lindsay!
I like that……a navy WOD. Now what can we call a partial blue and grey WOD (that seems to be more where my capabilities fall)?
Afternoon Mental WOD
1 Round For Time and Score:
1 Information Systems Test
70 questions
As Rx’d – 25:30
*CRUSHED IT
hahaha. Good work, Bobby!
Blue WOD (It’s either black or it isn’t, Z) 32:27
Deadlift (1.5 BW, 265 lb)
Bench (20#<BW, 155 lb)
Clean (.75 BW, 135 lb)
“Linda” aka the “3 BARS OF DEATH” haha
Black WOD as Rx’d – 22:49
Body Weight = 173.2 (but I want to weigh 185 so that’s what I calculated from)
Deadlift = 275
Bench = 185
Squat Clean = 135
Dad, awesome job today….you threw around a PLETHORA of weight today!
Blue WOD – 28:55
DL – 205 (1 1/2BW)
Bench – 105 (3/4 BW) for sets 10 & 9, then went down to 95# – partly bc I’m a wimp on bench and partly bc I only had a spotter for part of the time and was using our old yucky bench and it’s hard to get your hands right without pinching them…but mostly bc I’m a wimp 🙂
Squat Clean – 105 (3/4 BW)
“3 Bars of Death,” “Death by Pull-ups,” “Death by C&J”…my goodness, we’d better be careful or people will start getting the wrong impression!
Jean – VERY impressive work this morning on the squat cleans! (and you thought the weight I was putting on for deadlifts were gonna be the hard part 🙂 )
25:40 Linda Black WOD Rxd!
Blue WOD 14:55
Deadlift – 125lbs (1 b/w; at least that’s what I’d like to weigh…..Bobby, I’ll give you my 10 extra pounds)
push ups (as they were done at the Crossfit games this year)
Squat clean 65lbs (didn’t think I could do heavier and I’m guessing I was right.
Jean you must have been awesome this morning. We heard what fabulous squat cleans you were doing!!!
So Megan, how’s the pulled muscle? Sure hope you are not temporarily out of commission…..that would be difficult to handle with two little ones.
Had no clue what weight to go for. Chose the wrong ones 🙂 I had to go down after the first 3 rounds or I would have been there forever! It was definitely warmer at noon that at 0730. Hate the heat! Always slows me down.
DL – 185# for the first 3 rounds, then 135#
Dumbbell Press – 50# all 10 rounds
Cleans – 85# for the first 3 rounds, then 65#
19:59
Thanks Will and Nate for all the help on technique & form! Great class!!!
Thanks for the feedback! We’re here for YOU.
Jenn great work today. This is a brutal brutal wod it isn’t called the three bars of death for nothing.
Dude. DUDE.
41:54 Rxed.
275 deadlift, 185 bench, 140 clean.
Embarassing that bench was the most difficult movement. I killed cleans, moderate pace at deadlifts, strings of three, two, and one after the second round of bench.
Plethora? What is this Plethora? (Now you name the movie, Bobby).
I moved almost 12 tons today in 27:12; which I believe will ultimately increase my work capacity across broad time and modal domains – unless I experience death by double unders, or some other unknown cause.
Well I don’t know about everyone else, but every night before I go to bed I pray to be able to move large loads long distances quickly, so that I can increase my power output by 1 of 3 ways, either increasing the size of the load, traveling the load a longer distance, or moving the load quicker, because in the Power Equation we all know that Power Output = (Force x Distance) / Time, and in order to be doing this I need to improve in at least 1 of my 10 general physical skills of Cardiovascular/Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, or Accuracy. Like I said, I am not sure what you are thinking about when you are working out, but there is what is going through my mind 🙂
Oh and I have no idea on the movie
Oh yeah, read MY mind!
3 Amigos- right Dad????
Jaime: That’s it – Three Amigos
And I’m just thinking: “DFL again”.
Black Linda as Rx’d: 24:14
Linda left my shin bleeding and my back sore. Seems like a rough relationship.
oops I forgot to post the weights that dominated me today:
DeadLift: 275
Bench: 185
Power Clean: 135
Bobby and Brian – as much as the salt hurts, its an incredible cure. Thanks for this incredibly painful tip.
Blue WOD 13:49
Deadlift – 105lbs
Push ups
Squat clean 45lbs
Yea, lots of people NOT too cool to post today! (the committee decided to give you your cool points, Carolyn 😉 )
